Creative Program Coordinator / Assistant

Description:

We are looking for a part-time social media coordinator to assist with a variety of tasks related to communication and branding. Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring a Social Media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and increase sales.

Key Responsibilities

 

Program & Project Coordination

  • Support JIL’s education and social-impact client projects, managing logistics, vendor communications, and deliverables.

  • Schedule meetings, track project timelines, and prepare status updates.

  • Coordinate program operations (e.g., workshops, labs, community initiatives) in collaboration with JIL’s partners.

 

Creative & Brand Oversight

  • Review marketing materials, presentations, and digital assets for accuracy and alignment with client branding.

  • Collaborate with JIL’s design team to ensure creative quality and consistency across all deliverables.

  • Provide visual feedback on layouts, imagery, and messaging to ensure brand excellence.

Administrative & Communication Support

  • Draft correspondence, meeting notes, and reports for internal and client-facing projects.

  • Maintain organized project folders and shared drives.

  • Assist in documenting outcomes and metrics for client reports

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience or education in design, esthetics, marketing, or communications.

  • Strong organization and multitasking skills.

  • Eye for detail and passion for ensuring visual quality.

  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, or similar creative tools.

  • Professional communication skills — able to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members.

  • Interest in working with mission-driven organizations.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in one of the following fields or a closely related area:

    • Design, Visual Communication, or Multimedia Arts

    • Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations

    • Business Administration or Project Management

    • Education, Nonprofit Management, or a Social Impact discipline

  • Associate’s degree with relevant work experience may also be considered.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in one or more of the following:

    • Program or project coordination (education, nonprofit, or business setting)

    • Graphic design or marketing support (reviewing materials, working with creative teams, or ensuring brand consistency)

    • Client or vendor communications (coordinating schedules, tracking deliverables, and following up on project tasks)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and communications simultaneously.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, vendors, schools, community partners, etc.).

  • Prior involvement with education, community, or youth-focused programs is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar).

  • Familiarity with design and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Express, or Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and design aesthetics.

 

Position Overview

  • Schedule: part-time position (10-15 hours / M-F)
